I extend a warm welcome to join our Deep South Music Tour, where we offer a behind-the-scenes look into the heart of the South. The Deep South is much more than barbecue, bourbon, and blues. But aren’t those some of our favourite parts? “If you’re going to San Francisco, be sure to wear some flowers in your hair.” This line comes from Scott McKenzie’s 1967 hit single “San Francisco” which was the anthem of the 1967 summer, known as the “Summer of Love” which was headquartered in San Francisco; It is here where you will start your tour. Continue on to Nashville, renowned as Music City USA, home to legendary Country Music venues like the Grand Ole Opry stage and radio show, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, and the historic Ryman Auditorium.
Visit Muscle Shoals, home the legendary FAME recording studio founded by Rick Hall where music icons like Rod Stewart, Cat Stevens, The Rolling Stones and many more have record some of their hit albums. Travel through Tupelo, the birthplace of Elvis Presley, en route to Memphis, located on the banks of the mighty Mississippi and home to Beale Street, Peabody Hotel, Sun Studio and the Stax Museum of American Soul Music. Visit Graceland and get up close and personal to the things Elvis cherished most in the world and truly get a glimpse of his life at Graceland. Join Amtrak Rail and travel south through Louisiana bound for New Orleans. Absorb the sights and sounds of the world-famous French Quarter and historic Jackson Square. At night enjoy a dinner cruise and jazz music aboard a majestic Mississippi paddle steamer with your fellow travellers.
On the international sections of your tour, you will be flying Economy Class with Qantas Airways. Internal flights in America will be with United Airlines. Of course, the friendly staff at Ambassdor Travel will assist you if you wish to upgrade or extend your travels in North America.
