The Championships held at Royal Randwick on Saturday 6 & 13 April 2019 is recognised as an international racing event and fortunately, it is in our own backyard. It is my pleasure to invite you to join us for day 2 of the Chamionships, including the Longines Queen Elizabeth Stakes. Also featured on the program is the Schweppes Sydney Cup, the Australian Oaks and the Provincial Series Final.
The Championships is made up of 10 iconic races offering some of the world’s best thoroughbred racing contests. Feature races include the $2.5 million Darley TJ Smith Stakes and the $3 million The Star Doncaster Mile, both on Saturday 6 April. Saturday 13 April, will see the running of the cornerstone race, the $4 million Longines Queen Elizabeth Stakes, the world’s richest 2,000 m turf race. Cheer home Australia’s best horses against the international competition showcasing nail biting entertainment.
On Sunday we will visit the Randwick Stables of Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott. Since 1978 the headquarters have been at the historic Tulloch Lodge which has been a proven source of champions. Throw in some fun in “good ‘ole Sydney town” and this week promises to be one that you won’t forget. World class racing meets world class hospitality in this world class city. We look forward to sharing your company in April on our Sydney Carnival Racing Tour.
