The Great Northern Darwin Cup Carnival signifies the start of the Top End’s peak racing season, with visitors coming from far and wide to be part of the month-long festivities. The excitement builds up through the month of July with many great races on the calendar and comes to a climax on Monday the 1st of August with the running of the annual Great Northern Darwin Cup. With fever pitch Cup-time atmosphere, great racehorses, colourful racing personalities and the spectacular fashion on the field, the carnival will be a premier event not to be missed.
