Day 1, Friday 6 April BRISBANE – SYDNEY Make your way to your respective domestic airport for your Qantas flight to Sydney. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your first class hotel for check-in. This evening you have the opportunity to meet your fellow travellers over welcome drinks at your hotel. Day 2, Saturday 7 April SYDNEY | Race Day Today we will be transferred to Royal Randwick Racecourse for the Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival’s first day of The Championships series including the prestigious The Star Doncaster Mile. Other feature races today include the BMW Australian Derby, The Darley TJ Smith Stakes, the Country Series Final and the Inglis Sires’. Accommodation: Sydney
Day 3, Sunday 8 April SYDNEY This morning we will visit the Randwick stables of Australia’s First Lady of Racing, Gai Waterhouse.
Since 1978 Gai’s headquarters have been at the historic Tulloch Lodge which has been a proven source of champions. The remainder of the day is at leisure however for the rugby league enthusiasts you have the opportunity to take in an NRL game. Accommodation: Sydney
Day 4, Monday 9 April SYDNEY- HUNTER VALLEY Depart Sydney and travel by coach to the Hunter Valley, one of Australia’s major wine growing regions and also home to many famous thoroughbred stud farms. Your hotel is situated in the Hunter Valley Gardens and close to the village, with the afternoon at leisure for you to relax and enjoy the country charm. Accommodation: Hunter Valley
Day 5, Tuesday 10 April HUNTER VALLEY | Stud Farm Visit Embark on a full day thoroughbred stud tour to some of the world’s most prestigious thoroughbred stud farms. The Upper Hunter and Scone region is known as the horse capital of Australia with more than 70 studs dotting the shire including Arrowfield, Vinery, Coolmore, Darley and Widden. Day 6, Wednesday 11 April HUNTER VALLEY – SYDNEY Mid morning depart on a tour that will include wine tasting at various wineries as well as enjoying casual lunch at a local venue. Mid afternoon begin your journey back to Sydney arriving late afternoon. Accommodation: Sydney
Day 7, Thursday 12 April SYDNEY Today is at leisure and as your hotel is in a central city location, you are only a short walk away from some of Sydney’s top attractions including the Harbour Bridge, Pitt Street Mall, The Rocks and Sydney Opera House. In the evening you might like to take in a show in one of the many theatres or join the Sydney Showboat dinner cruise and experience a spectacular 3-hour dinner cruise around Sydney Harbour. Day 8, Friday 13 April SYDNEY Again today is at leisure. Join an optional tour to the Blue Mountains or visit some of the many museums and art galleries; or shop till you drop in Pitt Street Mall. This evening you have the opportunity to take in an NRL match or indulge in some world class dining at one of the many award winning restaurants nearby. Accommodation: Sydney
Day 9, Saturday 14 April SYDNEY | Race Day This morning we will be transferred to Royal Randwick for the second day of the Championship series. The headline race of the day is the Group 1 Longines Queen Elizabeth Stakes with prize money of $4 million. Also featuring on the program is the Schweppes Sydney Cup, the Australian Oaks and the Provincial Series Final. Accommodation: Sydney
Day 10, Sunday 15 April SYDNEY – BRISBANE After check-out this morning, you will be transferred to the airport for your return flight home.
