Day 1, Monday 5 March AUSTRALIA – AUCKLAND – HAMILTON Make your way to the airport for your flight to Auckland. Upon arrival you will be transferred by coach through some of New Zealand’s richest and most fertile rolling hills and valleys to your hotel in Hamilton. Day 2, Tuesday 6 March HAMILTON | Stud Farm Visit After breakfast enjoy a full day visiting some of the world’s leading stud farms. The Waikato region is home to a host of New Zealand’s premier stud farms including Cambridge Stud – home of great stallions Sir Tristram and Zabeel and now the sensation Tavistock, Rich Hill Stud – home of Pentire sire of Prince of Penzance and Waikato Stud. Day 3, Wednesday 7 March HAMILTON – TAUPO | Stud Farm Visit Make your way by coach to Taupo with several sightseeing opportunities along the way including a visit to Windsor Park Stud and The Oaks Stud which is home to champion stallion Darci Brahma. Upon arrival in Taupo, check-in to your hotel before enjoying a relaxing evening cruise on the lake. Accommodation: Taupo
Day 4, Thursday 8 March TAUPO | Race Day This morning witness the sheer power of nature at spectacular Huka Falls, which is New Zealand’s most visited and photographed natural attraction. Later you have some free time to relax and explore Lake Taupo at your own pace. You may wish to try your hand at trout fishing or perhaps play golf at one of the championship courses located nearby. Day 5, Friday 9 March TAUPO – AUCKLAND Transfer by coach from Taupo to National Park Rail Station to board the Silver Fern Train to Auckland. Sit back, relax and enjoy the wonderful and diverse scenery as you journey north for an evening arrival into Auckland. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. Day 6, Saturday 10 March AUCKLAND | Race Day Today you will transfer to Ellerslie Racetrack to attend Auckland Cup Day. Watch the day’s competition as it unfolds in the ultimate test of courage, stamina and determination in the Group 1 Auckland Cup Open Handicap run over 3,200 meters. Day 7, Sunday 11 March AUCKLAND Mid morning transfer by ferry from Auckland to Waiheke Island. Explore this magnificent island by coach visiting some of its renowned wineries taking in stunning ocean views and sandy beaches along the way. Enjoy lunch at a local winery prior to transferring back to Auckland. Accommodation: Auckland
