I never cease to be amazed at the amount of racetracks in NZ, both on the North & South Island. I’m particularly looking forward to this tour given we have toured the North Island previously & it was during those tours that many mentioned the magnificent & breathtaking beauty of the South Island.
This autumn tour has seemingly all bases covered, we not only get to enjoy racing action at Riccarton Park & Wingatui, we will visit some glorious & interesting destinations of the South Island.
One of the most special things about autumn in New Zealand are the colours especially in the Central Otago regions. Deciduous trees turn brilliant hues of yellow, gold and hot orange, and it’s all set against a sky that seems far too blue to be true.
Christchurch is known as the Garden city and Dunedin as the Edinburgh of New Zealand, and whilst in Dunedin no doubt a visit to the Larnach Castle & Gardens will be one of the many highlights.
Cruise the Milford Sound, enjoy dinner at the Walter Peak high country farm in Queenstown and experience breathtaking views on a rail journey through the Southern Alps nearing the end of the tour will be a lovely way to wind down prior to heading home.
To say Wendy & I are excited about this tour is probably an understatement.
