Day 1, Friday 28 April BRISBANE / SYDNEY – MELBOURNE Make your way to the airport for your flight to Melbourne where upon arrival you will be met and transferred to Living Legends, the International Home of Rest for Champion Horses. Day 2, Saturday 29 April MELBOURNE | Race Day Mid morning transfer to Caulfield racecourse for a day at the races to be observed from the comfort of the magnificent Rupert Clarke grandstand offering uninterrupted views of the mounting yard, home turn and winning post. Enjoy lunch in the Manikato Restaurant and at the end of the card you will be transferred back to your hotel. Accommodation: Melbourne
Day 3, Sunday 30 April MELBOURNE Depart your hotel this morning and tour the scenic Blue Dandenong ranges and enjoy a delicious European buffet lunch at the Cuckoo Restaurant accompanied by a Bavarian Floor Show. Return to your hotel late afternoon. Accommodation: Melbourne
Day 4, Monday 1 May MELBOURNE – WARRNAMBOOL Travel by coach via the Great Ocean Road, one of the world’s great drives. Stopping for lunch en route then continue through Otway National Park to the rugged beauty of the Twelve Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge and London Bridge. Arriving Warrnambool late afternoon. Day 5, Tuesday 2 May WARRNAMBOOL | Race Day This morning enjoy breakfast at the Pavilion Cafe with the best views in town overlooking the horses exercising on the beach and in the water. Afterwards travel to the racecourse for the first day of the May Racing Carnival – Ladies Day. The feature race of the day is the 3YB Scotty Stewart Brierly Steeplechase, a traditional lead in to the Grand Annual Steeplechase and run over 3450 metres. Day 6, Wednesday 3 May WARRNAMBOOL | Race Day You have the choice of attending the second day of the Warrnambool Carnival which sees the great racing continue. The 1200m Midfield Group Wangoom Handicap and the Sovereign Resort Galleywood Hurdle are the two major races. Alternatively you can join our tour to the historic fishing village of Port Fairy. Day 7, Thursday 4 May WARRNAMBOOL | Race Day Today is the highlight of the carnival. The racing will be fantastic, with Warrnambool’s two biggest races-The Wheelie Waste Grand Annual Steeplechase which is the highlight of the jumping year, and The Sungold Milk Warrnambool Cup which has a prestigious history and always attracts strong fields. Day 8, Friday 5 May WARRNAMBOOL – BRISBANE / SYDNEY After breakfast you will be transferred by coach back to Melbourne for your flight home. This concludes your Warrnambool Racing Carnival Tour.
