Day 2, Monday 26 June KILDARE | Stud Farm Start today at the Curragh to watch the early morning trackwork. This will be followed by a visit the Aga Khan’s Gilltown Stud then continue on to the Irish National Stud and Japanese gardens. Nowhere better symbolises all that is great about County Kildare, the beating heart of Ireland’s thoroughbred industry, than this stud. Return to Killashee House for overnight. Accommodation: Kildare
Day 3, Tuesday 27 June KILDARE- LIMERICK | Stud Farm After breakfast travel to Kildangan Stud, the Irish stud of the international Darley operation and afterwards travel on to Tipperary to visit Coolmore Stud, the world’s largest Thoroughbred breeding operation. Established in 1975, with just the original Coolmore Ireland, the operation now has three additional operations; in Kentucky, in the Hunter Valley and the National Hunt in Ireland. After Coolmore continue on through the quaint town of Fethard then on to visit Cahir Castle before arriving in Limerick. Accommodation: Limerick
Day 4, Wednesday 28 June LIMERICK Embark on one of Ireland’s most popular scenic drives today, the Ring of Kerry – a circular scenic road spanning 170 km. Enter a world of towering cliffs, lakelands, remote villages, and travel over Ireland’s tallest mountain range before returning back to Limerick. Accommodation: Limerick
Day 5, Thursday 29 June LIMERICK Today tour to Galway known for its effortless charm, warm and welcoming people and vibrant music scene. Continue on to the remarkable limestone landscape of The Burren, follow the Wild Atlantic Way to the legendary and dramatic Cliffs of Moher before returning to Limerick. Accommodation: Limerick
Day 6, Friday 30 June LIMERICK – DUBLIN After breakfast depart Limerick this morning and travel to Dublin, where upon your arrival you will acquaint yourself with the city on a sightseeing tour , where sights may include Dublin Castle and St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the O’Connell Bridge, and the famous Guinness Storehouse and Old Jameson Distillery. The evening is at leisure. Accommodation: Dublin
Day 7, Saturday 1 July DUBLIN | Race Day Transfer to The Curragh racecourse, Ireland’s premier racetrack, for the running of the Irish Derby a Group 1 race for three year old thoroughbred colts and fillies. Unrivalled in it’s prestige and tradition, it is run over a distance of one mile and four furlongs (2440 metres) with a total prize money of €1,500,000 Member’s enclosure admission and balcony reserve with lunch is included. Day 8, Sunday 2 July DUBLIN Today is at leisure for you to enjoy Dublin which is located at the mouth of the River Liffey, famous for it’s easygoing charm and cultural heritage.
